We call them Standard - for the rest of the world this is a dream that became reality. For more than 14 years Lightweight wheels are rolling at the race tracks and the roads around the world. A countless number of pro athletes trust the performance, the stiffness and the sensational low weight of our Lightweight Standard III wheels. The third generation of our Standard wheels offer 20% more stiffness and therefore a much enforced acceleration, safety and control of your ride due to the optimized shape of the rim and our new developed carbon fibre spokes.

Lightweight Standard III wheels are available in various 700c type variations. The front wheel comes either with 12, 16 or 20 spokes. The rear wheel comes with 20 spokes and we offer a special sprint version with even 24 spokes. With this special sprint wheel we follow the wishes of world class sprinters like Mario Cippolini and Erik Zabel. Of cause you can get our rear wheels with Shimano-/SRAM- or Campy-rotors.

What is Lightweight ServiceUp?


Lightweight ServiceUp is a warranty by CarbonSports GmbH for wheels purchased directly from CarbonSports or from an authorised CarbonSports dealer. Lightweight ServiceUp not only extends the warranty of a newly purchased Lightweight wheel to 3 years, it also covers damage caused by your negligence. What is more: Lightweight ServiceUp even covers racing damage; after all, Lightweight wheels are made for racing.

Is ServiceUp subject to any exceptions?


The warranty does not cover damage · to paint, special coatings such as our Duraflon coating, or other wheel finishes applied by request of the customer,
· damage resulting from any kind of modification of the wheel by the customer or third parties (e.g. holes, paint, coating, stickers, etc.) or excessive loads,
· damage resulting from normal wear (e.g. of the brake tracks, bearings),
· damage caused by incorrect installation or use of incompatible parts,
· damage caused by failure to observe the user manual,
· damage caused by shipment or storage,
· damages resulting from inadequate maintenance,
· damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

Furthermore, the warranty does not apply

· to wheels purchased from a dealer not authorised by CarbonSports GmbH,
· in the event of manipulation of our wheels by individuals not authorised by us,
· and does not establish the basis for claims to the refund of shipping costs, taxes, duties, etc. incurred by the buyer when sending back the wheel to CarbonSports GmbH or to the authorised CarbonSports dealer, claims to extension of the ServiceUp warranty term for the duration of the non-availability due to repairs, or other claims not expressly covered by the warranty.

How long can I use Lightweight ServiceUp?

The Lightweight ServiceUp certificate is issued for 3 years with respect to the chip numbers of the wheels. If the wheels are sold before the end of the term, the service can be transferred to the subsequent owner.

How often can I use Lightweight ServiceUp?

10% of MSRP.

How can I sign up Lightweight ServiceUp?

Simply complete the online registration form within 5 days after purchasing your wheel, select the model you purchased, and send us the commercial invoice by fax or mail. You can pay by credit card or bank transfer. Afterwards, you will receive the Lightweight ServiceUp certificate by mail.

Keep the ServiceUp certificate and commercial invoice. No Certificate or Invoice, no warranty.

How do I make a claim?


Simply send us the damaged wheel or submit it to your dealer according to the ServiceUp terms and conditions and enclose the original ServiceUp certificate, your original commercial invoice, and a brief description of what happened. Please send the damaged wheel without tyre, sprocket, quick release, wheel bag, etc. We do not assume any liability for damage or loss of the aforesaid parts.
