I like the pump in terms of it's ability to be used with either valve head! My only problem was I had no directions which cause my first use to be a total disaster. After losing all my tire pressure, I went to the internet to confirm some basic specs and I was able to inflate my tire back up to it's proper pressure. Once you understand how to initially attach the pump correctly, you will always be assured of maintaining proper tire pressure every time you go out for a ride!
I bought this pump to replace my 16 year old Blackburn floor pump so that I would have a pump with a gauge on it that would work on my new road bike's Presta valves as well as service my old mountain bike and my kids' bikes. Gauge is very easy to read. I don't have a separate gauge so I don't know how accurate it is, but it seems to do the job properly. The handle isn't too comfortable, but it's not a deal breaker. I find the pump fairly easy to operate. The SwitchHitter Head works perfectly as advertised. However, it is a bit heavy and clunky to use with a very stiff engagement lever mechanism. I have to use two hands to properly support it when putting it on and taking it off the more delicate Presta valves on the road bike. Also, the picture shown here isn't the correct picture for the pump. The new one is on the Specialized website, though.
