      Comments:

I switched from Mt. Bikes to a Hybrid (Specialized Sirrus) for commuting and keeping up with my girlfriend on her road bike. After a year of commuter rides and a few 1/2 Century's I decided to try an entry level road bike. I was concerned about the switch from a Mt. bike style straight handlebar to the Road style drop bars, but this bike was fitted to me so well, I didn't experience any adjustment issues - other than my cruising speed went from 12mph to 14mph on my first commute ride! I absolutely love this bike. I have only been on the Sirrus once since buying the Allez. I am sure their are lighter and faster bikes out there, but if you want something reasonably priced for a first road bike, I don't see how you can beat the Allez.

        Comments:

I bought this bike to start cycling strictly for exercise and not racing. I have put over 200 miles on this bike this summer and have loved every minute of it. I have enjoyed how comfortable it really is and value the quality. Some day i will upgrade to a bike with components that are better but for this price this bike is unbelievable. Compared to other entry level bikes from trek and giant, this bike just fits better and rides smoother

        Comments:

I just got the bike about 2 months ago. this is my first road bike and this is far above my hybrid bike. Now the bike is light and responsive. my only complaint is you have to get used to shifting and the shifts are not as fast as I was expecting but that has to be my only complaint

          Comments:

Bought my Allez 2 years ago and still love it 2,500mi later. Very light for an aluminum frame, lighter than some full carbon bikes. It likes to climb. Components are very quiet and shifts flawlessly. Brakes have good action. Had a problem with the original rims throwing spokes but Specialized sent me better ones for free and paid for labor. Other than the original seat, which was easy to replace, this bike is extremely comfortable and has never given me any back or neck problems. I will probably never own anything other than a Specialized bike.

Excellent price, quality and deal. However, the shifting between volicities are a little bit complicated in the begining. ALL others parts of the bike are AMAZING by a price that is really low. Please, do not buy the next step in the bike becasue this one is excellent

I used this bike for the MS Bike Ride (150 miles for two days!) and it's been solid ever since! Very smooth, very light, responsive and fast! It may take a while for a beginner to get used to changing gears, but after it's simple. I'm looking forward in how it responses when I get the clip on pedals/shoes. Only thing I'd recommend guys doing is changing the seat!

This is my first road bike. It is great. the only other road bike i've ridden was a cannondale that a friend had. I like it, although all i look for in bikes is the ability to ride.
