The Zegho's are nothing less than the redefinition of cycling-specific high performance eyeProtection, produced in an exclusive joint engineering venture between Assos Centro Studio and Carl Zeiss Vision.
Does the world need more eyewear? Probably not. But we — racing-oriented high performance cyclists — do. The ASSOS Werksmannschaft (their in-house product development team), feels that the currently available generic sports glasses could be improved to meet the specific demands of cycling. But why does Assos bother?
Assos is not an eyewear company. Assos is acycling body R&D + refinement laboratory. At Assos they understand cycling and focus exclusively on cycling. They do not produce multi-sports items, nor do they engineer their products for use in other sports. And they never give in to the temptation of increasing sales by broadening their focus.
It is this “exclude-all-other-uses” engineering approach that Assos applied when they started to develop the first cycling-specific high performance eyeProtection four years ago. It was clear to Assos that they must explore new paths and join forces with the best in class to accomplish what they set out to do.
Zegho is the combined effort of nine European specialty eyewear makers, each providing a specifically designed component, each manufactured following strict quality guidelines, and all orchestrated by ASSOS Centro Studio and its two dedicated eyewear development engineers.

Only one question remains: Do you wear your Zegho over or under your helmet strap? There are two philosophies:
- One: Over the strap. In case of a crash, they are free to come loose, reducing the risk of a hinge breaking on impact and hurting your face.
- Two: Under the strap. The majority of the ASSOS Werksmannschaft (in this case the Assos factory team) chooses this option. In case of a crash, it helps keep your eye protection in place, possibly reducing the risk of eye injury.

The Bianchi Infinito CV Disc, with its re-designed frame shape, has been developed with an endurance-specific geometry and thru-axle rear dropouts for optimum integration with disc brakes. The Bianchi Infinito XE is the perfect for Granfondo riders serious about performance and aesthetics. The geometry of the Infinito, the ultimate endurance model whose range is topped by Infinito CV, has been optimized in the WorldTour in the one-day classics, providing maximum performance with minimum stress for long distance. It also proved to be the ideal granfondo machine.
The bike is ideal for long distances with an optimised carbon layup for a smooth and responsive ride. Although the frameset doesn't utilise the Bianchi countervail system found on higher cost Bianchi bikes it does offer a smooth and responsive bike at this level utilising technology from across the Bianchi frames.
Sizes Available in 47, 50, 53, 55, 57, 59 and 61cm and with a frame weight of just 1,100 grams and the fork 420 grams, the Infinito XE helps you savour every pedal stroke. The Infinito XE is exclusively built for disc brakes, with flat mount calipers. Thru axles both front (12x100mm) and rear (12x142mm) ensure no stress to the frame caused by braking, and with a tyre width compatibility up to 32mm the Infinito XE is capable of taking you further than ever before.
The clean lines of the bike are maintained with all hydraulic cables routed internally and the dedicated alloy seatpost has been developed for the ultimate streamlined, integrated look. Talking of streamlined, the alloy stem and spacers have been created by Bianchi for a better head tube connection, the 1 1/8” to 1.5” head tube providing stability at speed and under braking. The characteristics of the Infinito XE are maintained across the frame sizes. The different chainstay lengths means that the bike behaves the same no matter what size you choose.

- 1951 After the success of Fausto Coppi in the Paris-Roubaix, Squadra Bianchi is equipped with the long-point Gran Sport derailleur system for the Giro d'Italia and subsequent races. Gran Sport sliding rod, cable operated front derailleur, and bar end shifters are introduced. Campagnolo introduces the last version of it's rod-shifting derailleurs. Featuring an intricate system of levers, cams, and a ratcheting quick release, it was far less popular than the Gran Sport and quickly dropped from the line.
- 1952 An updated version of the Gran Sport derailleur is introduced.
- 1953 In August the definitive Gran Sport rear derailleur is introduced with minor changes from the 1951 model. The first Campagnolo hubs (FB-style steel barrels with alloy flanges) are introduced, in December the Sport rear derailleur with single pulley and lever operated Sport front derailleur are introduced.
- 1956 The Gran Sport pedal (steel quill with strap loop) is introduced. In July a seat post is introduced, followed in August by the Gran Sport rear derailleur with the lower body and outer cage revised and a shallow spring cage cover. The Record parallelogram front derailleur is introduced.
- 1958 The Record Group is introduced including: Record cotterless crankset (151mm bolt circle), Gran Sport bottom bracket, normal or large flange Record alloy one piece hubs, seat post, Gran Sport headset, Record front derailleur.
